Job Objective: Under minimal supervision is responsible for the inventory of fresh product.
Essential Job Functions: The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: 1.
Manage all internal inventory.
2.
Physically count inventory daily and reconcile with book inventory.
3.
Will investigate inventory discrepancies.
4.
Prepare product condition and aging reports by lot identification.
5.
Reconcile returns, spoilage and adjustments of all product code discrepancies.
6.
Will monitor the temperatures in the cooler rooms where product is stored.
7.
Promptly report violations or potential problems to supervisor.
8.
Follow all Company rules and policies including safety regulations.
9.
Other duties as assigned or required Required Skills and Qualifications: 1.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
2.
HS graduate or equivalent 3.
Three + years experience in shipping and inventory control preferably in the produce industry 4.
Previous working experience using a forklift and pallet jack; forklift certification preferred.
5.
Possess highly developed skills in the area of organization, communication (verbal and written) in English (bi lingual English and Spanish preferred), problem resolution and customer service skills.
6.
Extensive knowledge of Produce Pro highly preferred.
7.
Ability to speak, read and write clearly including the ability to communicate work issues in a clear, professional manner; fluency in English is helpful but not required.
8.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds 9.
Must be able to stand for prolonged period of time.
10.
Must be able to have full use of both hands and fingers, i.e.
simple grasping.
11.
Working knowledge of similar operations in the produce industry.
12.
Ability to work effectively as a team member; high level dependability and work ethic.
13.
