Export Logistics Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

Daily activities will be the organizing and overseeing of international transactions from start to finish for Customer Activity. Corresponding and working with domestic suppliers/manufacturers, domestic trucking companies and warehouses, international shipping carriers, and Customers. Providing an operations service to meet the Customer’s needs in a cost-effective manner.

Standard User with fundamental understanding of SAP software and other company approved software(s) and technology. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Understand basic logistics and export documentations requirements and procedures as executed at ATI.
Basic knowledge of ATI Customers, manufacturers, processes and procedures
Basic knowledge of all shipping lines/trucking likes that ATI is working with
Must be able to execute multiple projects and assignments without error and with high attention to detail
Strong ability to follow-through project implementation and finishes several on-going projects within budget and on time
Ability to respond in a professional manner to members’ inquiries, research, requests, problems, or complaints; guides members to the appropriate staff for specific information and assistance

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Data and Information management: Archive data in a manner which facilitates rapid access for internal and external Customer requests
Coordinate air or ocean shipments for export transactions.
Track order progress daily using company operational software and SOP.
Work with manufacturers to produce orders to meet or exceed Customer expectations.
Work to ensure safe transport of goods to overseas buyer.
Update all parties to the transaction on dates and information needed to execute order correctly and in most efficient and timely manner possible.
Prepare Bill of Lading instructions and File AES reports.
Update Customer timely of all order information as needed such as export shipment schedule, tentative delivery times, issues, etc.
Process, prepare, and finalize export documentation per transaction instructions and customer requirements in a highly accurate format.
Collaborate with other company departments to ensure timely shipping.
Handle Customer Service Issues as needed.
Enter all order information in SAP operating system timely and with a very high level of precision.
Handle existing shipping contracts with Manager’s guidance
Prepare transaction summaries for Manager and others in the event Claims are made against order or process improvement opportunities are identified.
Ability to handle 25 straight export transactions and can work on 3 consolidation orders (8 to 9 different manufacturers) at any given time
Trace, track and expedite purchase processes with manufacturers and obtain ready dates for pick-up of the shipment. Create and maintain contact with manufacturers and their warehouses.
Compare Freight costs with different shipping contracts (a minimum of 4 different lines) and make the price and service best decision on use of shipping line for the particular shipment
Compare trucking rates with different truckers (a minimum of 3 different truckers) and make the best price and service decision on use of trucking line for the particular shipment
Make booking schedule with shipping lines, process accurate work orders
Coordinate with shipping lines/trucking lines to make arrangements for shipment schedules for assigned export shipments
Reviews and audits bills, invoices from manufacturers/truckers/shipping lines
Updates all pricing information, extra charges, and any applicable notes with actual data per department SOP.
