We also license Flash-IP solutions that are incorporated in a broad range of products.Job DescriptionThe Space and Power Management Group (SPM) is the power systems division of Microchip Technology and a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of high-performance modules and systems in Power Management. Microchip takes the approach of providing complete sub-system level power solutions for our customers. Our primary market is in Space Systems and other high reliability mission critical applications. We place great emphasis on validated solutions that work right the first time.We have a Clerk-Production Control opening at our Garden Grove, California facility. This position supports Production control and is considered a hybrid position because the stockroom duties are intertwined with product control support duties. We are looking for someone who has experience and is comfortable using any MRP / ERP system. This is a valued position for the organization because of the need for accuracy in reporting material and inventory counts, as well as maintaining material. The candidate we select will be working first shift (5:30 am – 2:00 pm) and will reporting to the Production Control – Program Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Receives, stores, and issues, material, supplies, tools and compiles stock records in the stockroom.* Counts, sorts, weigh, verify identification number and material type on incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.* Visually examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.* Stores articles in bins, on floor, in cabinets, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, part number, identification number or type of material.* Prepares part, sub-assembly, and top assembly manufacturing kits using Pick List (PL), Parts List (PL) or other verifiable documentation.* Enters data into MRP system and utilizes data to pull or issue material.* Uses MRP system to run reports (i.e. inventory and cycle count).* Using the appropriate forms and documentation fills orders and issues material and supplies from stock to maintain manufacturing and engineering plans and schedules.* Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.* Compiles reports on use of material in stock, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and customer supplied material and yearly material inventories.* Compiles reports of program specified location requirements.* Marks identifying codes, identification numbers, figures, or letters on articles for traceability.* Distributes stock among manufacturing, inspection and engineering workers, maintaining records of material issued.* Moves or transports material, chemicals or supplies to other areas or departments as directed.* Pick up incoming material from shipping as required and delivery to Receiving Inspection.* Maintains inventory and other stock records using MRP system data base.* Material Handler, expediting product through Manufacturing and other locations.* May be asked to perform other duties not outlined in this description.Job RequirementsMinimum requirements include:* Must have a high school diploma; GED equivalent or equivalent years of relevant experience.* At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing stockroom environment, or related Stockroom environment.* At least 2 years experience in using an MRP system; preferably Dynamics AX, Great Plains or equivalent and experience in Excel & Word.* Must be able count, sort, and weigh, read documents, document data, accurately and efficiently.* Must have strong written and oral communication skills* Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and multitask.ITAR StatementThis job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
