Business Development / Account Management – Int’l Logistics

A global 3PL Freight Forwarding company is now actively seeking an energetic International Logistics Business Development / Account Management professionals near the DFW airport.

The ideal candidates are a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts.

You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current global logistics and supply chain market conditions.

Commission and great benefit packages will be compensated.

Responsibilities Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision makers Proactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customers Develop market strategies by researching lists of high potential prospects Manage existing accounts and develop new customers to increase businesses and sales profit.

Visit customer on-site for sales activities and for maintaining business relationships (Overnight / international travels required) Analyze customers’ needs and market trends, research and assist logistics planning, find & prepare the best logistics solutions, and provide presentations at the customer sites Negotiate cost, timeline, technical specification etc., and provide consultation as needed Provide quotations containing terms and conditions to customers Manage scheduling & truck shipments, and solve any logistics problems if arise, by collaborating with other departments of the company Assist in promoting new services and new applications Conduct market research and analysis of logistics services to recognize and define problems, generate and implement solutions for customers’ needs and their better business operations Work with basic financial understandings, marketing strategies, compliance and law related to industry, trade, and the location of the customers, venders, and carriers Deal with current global logistics & supply chain market trends, exchange rate fluctuation and other risks with extensive knowledge and understandings of the global markets Participate internal sales meetings to communicate thoroughly with other locations internationally as arranged Update and Manage sales data and customers’ information by using CRM Create sales reports by using MS Excel and the company’s system and report to Direct Managers periodically Perform all the other duties assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, operations management, or related field, or equivalent experience in sales / account management in the Logistics / Freight Forwarding industry Must have 2 years demonstrated experience in B to B customer relations and sales / account management in the Logistics / Freight Forwarding industry, ideally international – Import Freights Experience and knowledge of terms and regulations regarding international freight forwarding, especially Import Freights Understanding of Sales performance metrics Ability to be flexible to work effectively with wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment Excellent written & verbal communication skills, and presentation Skills Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel Ability to travel – US nationwide and international (including overnight travel) to visit customers up to75% Driver’s License with Clear Records Must be flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environment This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment.

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, lift in excess of 30 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.

You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
