Parts Driver Shipping & Receiving AssociateAbel Womack, Inc., a leading dealer in the sale and service of material handling equipment, seeks a customer-focused, team player to join our Parts Shipping & Receiving team If you are mechanically inclined, have experience in a warehouse environment and want to work for a positive, established organization that values its great employees, then our Parts Driver Shipping and Receiving Associate position might be the opportunity for youThe Parts Driver Shipping and Receiving Associate is a critical member of our parts warehouse team, assuming responsibility for fulfilling parts orders for customers as well as our in-house service technicians in an efficient, highly accurate manner.
Basic knowledge of auto or industrial equipment parts will ensure your success in the role, as will prior experience in a shipping/receiving role.
The Parts Driver Shipper/Receiver will:Drive to and deliver and/or pick up parts and other material from customer location:Process all customer and internal orders in an efficient, highly accurate and timely manner; Perform all receiving requirements, including quality control procedures during receiving of goods and proper routing of associated paperwork; Assist in maintaining accurate parts inventory counts through cycle counts and other management controls; Store warehouseinventory in an organized and efficient manner; Restock all products in a timely and accurate manner, following perishable procedures if they apply; Ensure that allparts, including hazardous materials, are properly labeled and packaged during shipping and receiving, in compliance with Hazardous Material shipping regulations; Accept and process vendor warranty parts returns, working closely with Warranty Administrators; Load and operate a 100-ton press; Read prints to fabricate hydraulic hose, cable and chain assemblies; Interact with internal and external customers in an effective and professional manner; Adhere to all safety rules and identify hazards as appropriate, including wearing steel-toed safety shoes as required; Practice good housekeeping principles for the warehouse to ensure a clean and safe working environment; Perform other related duties.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED1-3 years industrial work experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution centerForklift operations experience preferred.
Ability to operate lift equipment safely required.Experience shipping/receiving parts and/or components for industrial equipment such as lift trucks, warehouse equipment, carousels/conveyors or other material handling vehicles and equipment preferred.Experience in auto or aviation parts industries also strongly valued.Must possess a valid drivers’ license with a clean driving record.Must work well under pressure and be well-organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.6 months to one-year computer experience requiredAbility to lift up to 70 lbs.
