WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Salesforce Lead Business Analyst is part of the business Salesforce Center of Excellence (SFDC COE) team. The position ensures that City National Bank’s (CNB) mission-critical Salesforce CRM platform is optimally deployed, supported and adopted by the bank. The position serves in a dual capacity, it will work with business users to gather and define business requirements; translate the requirements into user stories, process changes and work flows to solve business problems and will also support & lead the Agile process for the Salesforce COE.The role will work with the SFDC COE business and technical teams and other stakeholders to ensure delivery of high quality solutions to meet business needs, including ongoing support of the introduction of new features and capabilities.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • End-to-end delivery of Salesforce solution working closely with Sales & Technical teams
  • Participate in Discovery & Framing sessions and ongoing user sessions to understand user needs
  • Gather and define business requirements; translate them into user stories and process flows
  • Develop functional and technical design and implementation; provide demos to leadership; user acceptance testing with team; end-user deployment; adoption and training.
  • Engage with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Business SMEs as appropriate to refine user stories
  • Collaborate with Development team to explain the user-stories and conduct user-story acceptance with Business
  • Lead the “scrum” stand-up and product enhancement meetings, implements and ensures scrum process is followed.
  • Arrange and run sprint planning, reviews, and sprint retrospectives. Develops sprint calendar
  • Drive continuous improvements among the team increasing velocity and value
  • Support assessment of Business value to groom the Product backlog. Develop Value Documents for the sprints
  • Engage with scrum team to provide clarity around ongoing development work
  • Drive development and documentation of user stories

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • 5+ years of Salesforce experience with hands-on experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst delivering Salesforce Service Cloud or Sales Cloud projects
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field (financial services, sales, CRM/customer relationship management)
  • 4+ years experience working in agile environment, perferably experience in Scrum Master capactity

Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, Agile environment and manage agile task assignments
  • Strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum) project methodologies: Agile documentation experience including Backlogs, Customer Journeys, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria etc.
  • Ability to work with product owners, business, functional lead and scrum team to pick up prioritized user-stories from the backlog
  • Ability to run program increment and iteration planning for the scrum team
  • Experience working with business to elicit requirements and translate those to user-stories
  • Experience performing business-demos and getting user-story-acceptance completed by business
  • Preference for candidates who are professionally Scrum certified and have at least one Salesforce certification or the ability to obtain Salesforce certification
  • Salesforce experience within a financial services, sales or client support operation
  • Experience as a Scrum Master and familiarity with the Agile methodology
  • Proficiency with Agile project management software such as Jira or Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Process mapping experience
  • Individuals who are passionate about leveraging the Salesforce platform
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (identify issues, analyze root causes, structure problem assessments, develop options and recommendations)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to interact equally effectively with colleagues across all Lines of Business and functional groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop easy-to-understand user documentation and platform reports, and to explain solution steps for complex issues
  • Outstanding listening skills, and ability to patiently, constructively interact with diverse stakeholders who may be experiencing challenges with the platform
  • Proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity and rapid change
  • Good facilitation and influencing skills – able to work with large groups (of varying levels of seniority from user to board level)
