Network Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, security, performance, and integrity of in-house data, voice/video, and wireless network services.

This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization.In addition, this role will be the Lead Network Security and Data Center Technologies Lead for the Global Network Team.

This role will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links within his/her responsibility.

Evaluates and recommends new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the good of the global enterprise.

This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.

This position requires a proven team player, technical leadership, and guidance amid complex situations.The role includes, but it not limited to the following duties:Strategy & PlanningCollaborate with management and department leaders to assess near
– and long-term network capacity needs.Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, network diagraming, processes, and overall design.Develop, implement and maintain policies, standard operating procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.Research, design, and implement new technologies and systems to upgrade or replace legacy technology or systems.Operational ManagementDesign and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including, routers, switches, firewalls, access points, network appliances, and other hardware.Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.

Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, , and other network appliances.Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.Participate in managing all network security solutions.Perform security audits, and system backups and recovery of network infrastructure.Position Requirements:Expert Knowledge in the following areas:Proven experience and success with enterprise class LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation.Next Generation Firewall design, implementation, and management.

(Cisco Firepower preferred)Firewall Zone Based DesignVPNACP management & troubleshootingCentralized ManagementUpgrades, patching, loggingProven experience with network security infrastructure and best practices, i.e.

Network Access Control (NAC), Switch & Router Security, IDS/IPS.Excellent hands-on technical knowledge and experience working in a global enterprise class network environment [multiple WAN locations, international locations, multiple data centers, high speed Campus and MAN links, VLAN separation]Data Center Network switching experience, i.e.

Cisco Nexus 9k, 7k, 5k, 3k, Data Center Leaf/Spine network design using VXLAN overlay technologies.Excellent hardware and IOS troubleshooting experience.

Catalyst 9600, 9500, 9300, 9200, 3600, 2900 series switches; STP, VLAN, 802.1QRouting experience; Cisco ISR routers; BGP, EIGRP, vRF, SD-WAN, QoSProven experience with network capacity planning, and general network management best practices.Network management, performance monitoring, up/down network monitoring, inventory, and backup tool software experience Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits, packet capturing, and protocol analysis experience.Cisco Meraki experience a plusFormal Education & CertificationUniversity/College degree (AA, BA, BS) required.7 years or more of relevant work experience working on enterprise class network equipment required.CCIE, CCNP, CCDP, CCNP-Security, Data Center, is preferred or relevant work experience.Personal AttributesSolution OrientedAble to guide a highly technical global teamStrong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Ability to follow and adhere to Change Control Processes and ProceduresAble to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.Strong customer service orientation.Experience working in a team-oriented, international, collaborative environment.Able to travel as needed, 10%
