Labcorp is recruiting a Sr Network Admin/Engineer in RTP, NC. This position can also be Remote based.
Summary:
The SCCM Engineer’s primary responsibility will be focused on patch management. She/He will also be delivering operating system and software updates via System Center Configuration Manager and reporting to management on progress.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy Microsoft Operating System patches
- Deploy 3rd party updates
- Package and deploy application updates
- Track down unpatched systems and remediate them
- Reporting and Dashboarding on patch status
- Use SCCM to perform the above responsibilities
- Troubleshoot end user issues relating to patching, SCCM and applications
Requirements:
- Strong experience working with SCCM patch management
- Strong experience with application packaging for SCCM
- Experience creating SCCM collections and performing deployments
- High understanding of the importance of testing and able to create processes around this
- Experience troubleshooting issues with the end users
- Ability to write and present SCCM reports
- Desire and ability to learn new tools
- Strong Windows Server experience
Additional Optional Experience:
- Powershell, Scripting, SQL and/or Automation techniques.
- Active Directory and Active Directory Group Policy Management
Provides corporate computer users with microcomputer, local, and wide-area network support including connectivity and access to business information. Provides users with suitable, cost-effective computer solutions to meet business requirements. Maintains, optimizes, and performs capacity planning for all network servers and systems. Installs, configures, and maintains LAN software, performs LAN administration duties and LAN communications services. Monitors and conducts performance evaluation of networks. Instructs, directs, and checks the work of Network/Administrators/Engineers.
License/Certification/Education: Normally B.S. Degree required w/5-7 years of experience.
