How You Will Contribute The BSF/Industry 4.0 Leader will drive the art of the possible in creating customer value in each differentiated business category (National Accounts, Projects, Stock/Contractor Select & OEM).
Promote capability, buy-in and support for Industry 4.0 mindset and lean culture within the distribution network.
Develop network wide quality problem statements and establish processes to action quality claims.
Implement network wide ESG initiatives.
Develop and drive facility Continuous Improvement Transformation Plan.
Work in conjunction with operations leadership to develop a transformation plan encompassing the deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies to improve customer experience and drive cost improvements.
Create strategic relationships with all internal leaders and associates to implement and deliver scalable programs on Standard Work, Lean, 4.0 and flexible automation to improve both distribution and transactional processes.
Leverage 4.0 and new technologies to enhance internal productivity and improve processes, employees and customer experience.
Where appropriate, introduce new techniques and technologies to drive rapid improvements and ensure that these are brought into playbooks and trainings to guarantee continued consistency.
Provide subject matter expert (SME) guidance in support of best practices, digital transformation and Lean activities.
Work closely with sales teams to partner with key distributers to gain market share on stock/project business.
Plan and direct ESG focused activities for new equipment, mechatronic solutions, and business solutions to improve manufacturing/distribution methods for maximum efficiency.
Coordinate 4.0 activities to achieve timely resolution to manufacturing/distribution problems, new process launches and ESG impact evaluation of the process changes.
Maintain a high level of customer service with internal Matrix partners and ensure that processes and procedures are accountable and transparent and include all required information and documentation.
Research industry trends and emerging technology advancements for manufacturing/distribution and ESG initiatives.
Drive ESG improvements across the DC Supply Chain organization and ensure operational excellence in all Environmental Sustainability projects.
Qualified Applicants Will Have Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Masters Degree Preferred 6 to 8 years of applicable experience in a distribution and/o manufacturing automation environment.
Prior experience with warehouse management systems integration preferred.
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
Advanced skills working with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Comfortable with preparing and delivering presentations.
