And we are looking for a Sr. Developer/Analyst, Analytics!

The Analytics Systems Group provides one of the major services in our client’s IT organization. Their mission is empowering end users to make the best and timely decisions and actions in the investment lifecycle.

The right candidate is a passionate, hardworking, and talented Sr. Developer/Analyst, Analytics and will join the Front Office Decision Services team. The team is responsible for building out the Analytics System group’s web application platform and corresponding web services that supports the front office in research, investment risk management, and portfolio management.

The incumbent will work with other development teams, business analysts and the management team to design and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance investment returns across the entire technology stack (C#, ASP.NET Core, React/TS, MS Azure, and SQL Server).

Essential Duties

  • Design, develop, test, deployment of Investment Risk, Research, and Analytics platform business capabilities in modern web-cloud architecture tech stack.
  • Continuous value delivery to our internal clients (primarily the trading desk)
  • Deliver high quality software through an agile (scrum) environment
  • Write extensible, maintainable, reusable, scalable and testable code through usage of industry standard design patterns and best practices
  • Perform effective, independent work, serves as a role model for less experienced software analytics development professionals
  • Assist in requirements gathering and analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field
  • 6+ years of C# .Net, or equivalent object-oriented language experience
  • 3+ years of experience in web application development (React/Angular)
  • 3+ years of experience in RESTful micro service API development. (.NetCore)
  • 1+ Experience with Data modeling and SQL
  • Strong enterprise development experience. Large-scale technical projects.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively, results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
  • Good problem-solving, decision making, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences (technical, non-technical, senior)
  • Ability to quickly learn and master new concepts, skills, knowledge

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding or knowledge of capital markets is a big plus, especially in research strategy business capabilities
  • Experience in application cloud migration and development projects (Azure/AWS)
  • Experience developing with NoSQL database integration such as REDIS, or MongoDb
