Our experts assess cyber risk and readiness, test and harden Clients’ infrastructure, and respond instantly and decisively when threats arise.

We regularly advise boards of directors, members of the C-suite, general counsel, outside counsel, IT leaders, and other stakeholders at all stages of any cyber incident.

This is a remote role Role Overview We are looking for a Cloud Security professional who will support our Clients cloud architecture and security.

Responsibilities Provide experienced based recommendations on the setup and configuration of cloud architectures and cloud migration, specifically on AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP.

Evaluate cloud architecture and advise Client teams on strong Security Design principles and identification of issues prior to systems or features deployed Evaluate Client’s Cloud Program based upon a recognized framework or regulation such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, HIPAA Security Rule, PCI Data Security Standard, ISO Standards, etc.

Provide experienced based guidance and advise on how security controls are applied to cloud-based technologies, including architecture and networking, identity and access management, data protection, logging detection and response, security controls for containers Ability to design and automate security & governance framework across our cloud environments Partner with Client DevOps teams on secure cloud development practices and build cloud security automation into pipelines Develop a deep understanding of each Client’s organization to guide them in identifying, analyzing, and addressing cyber related threats and risks in the cloud environment Develop a prioritized security project plan tailored to each Clients’ environment Provide input into Client communications, both written and oral, throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Qualifications Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Cyber Security/MSIS or equivalent work experience Approximately 2
– 5 years experience in cybersecurity working with AWS, Azure and Cloud architecture Experience with using cloud infrastructure as code (IaC), including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager, to deploy secure cloud infrastructure and using version control based on Git Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks, including Bash or PowerShell A background in cloud security practices such as identity and access management (IAM), networking, database and storage protection, encryption methodologies, multi-factor authentication, and supporting technologies A strong understanding of cloud container platforms such as Kubernetes (AKS / EKS) Experience designing and implementing network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and authentication Ability to travel, often with little notice Desired Qualifications The following additional qualifications are preferred, but not required: AWS and/or Azure Certification EnCase, CFCE or CISSP, SANS, CISA, PMP, and/or similar certification(s) Familiarity with Cloud Security Alliance Framework (https://cloudsecurityalliance.org) Familiarity with NIST or ISO frameworks and/ or risk assessment methodology Ankura is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where mutual respect and collaboration is paramount.
