Position: SQL Data Administrator Job Description: Remote work employees may be required to be present at the closest designated Arrow office for work-related purposes, at the company’s request and sole discretion.
Principal Accountabilities Work on building, configuring, and deploying SQL Server and MySql databases.
Ability to manage multiple Database Servers, including administration, application configurations, upgrades, SQL approved backups and system patching.
Performance Monitoring experience using various tools and scripted processes.
Manage table space allocation/management, and the overall health of the databases, managing the database schema, creating triggers and storage procedures, monitoring alert logs, and resolving database-related issues.
Perform and test backup and recovery processes.
Leverage existing tools to perform daily exports and snapshots to reconstitute databases in the event of a failure.
Deployment of critical patch updates and security patches to maintain a hardened and secure infrastructure.
Help design administrative workflows and best practices for permissions, application management, deployments, etc.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and technical assessments.
Provide technical guidance and support for incident management and conduct root cause analysis to ensure customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For Database skills with SQL Server, MySQL, Mongo Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a group.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are a must.
Ability to apply knowledge of memory management techniques, storage, and common database tuning techniques to ensure system performance.
Experience with database optimization, performance tuning, Document methodologies used in the administration of databases, execution of requests, and standard reporting.
Candidates are expected to be familiar with most of the following technology areas: Database concepts / SQL Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW/Synapse.
