CGI is seeking a Software Training & Development Specialist to join our CGI team!

This position is located in our Los Angeles, CA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Assist our clients by identifying, specifying and analyzing requirements and processes, managing progress throughout the design, test and implementation process. Your ability to create innovative solutions will contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key items of responsibilities:
Design & Deliver Tailored Training Programs: Develop engaging, user-friendly training materials for software systems, ensuring users from all levels can navigate and leverage tools effectively

Facilitate Learning Experiences: Conduct live and virtual training sessions, workshops, and webinars to drive successful software implementation and maximize productivity

Create Scalable Learning Resources: Produce easy-to-understand guides, video tutorials, and interactive modules that empower users to gain proficiency at their own pace

Assess & Enhance Training Effectiveness: Continuously measure training impact through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to ensure learning objectives are met

Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure training aligns with system updates and user needs

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

What you’ll bring

3+ years experience as a Software Training & Development Specialist

Proven experience in software training, instructional design, technical writing, or a related role

Hands-on experience developing training programs, workshops, tutorials, and e-learning modules

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training delivery platforms

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in software relevant to the industry (e.g., CRM, ERP, cloud-based platforms, project management tools)

Familiarity with e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate)

Basic knowledge of programming concepts or software development processes (if applicable)

Communication & Facilitation Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to simplify complex topics for various audiences

Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with comfort presenting to both in-person and remote audiences.

Project Management Skills:

Ability to design, plan, and execute training programs from conception to completion

Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Analytical & Evaluation Skills:

Ability to assess training effectiveness through feedback, quizzes, performance metrics, and adjusting programs as needed

Soft Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders

Adaptability and creativity in developing engaging training materials

Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.

Certifications (Preferred):

Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM)

Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+)

Instructional Design Certifications (e.g., ATD, ISTD)

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,800 – $134,100.
