This leadership role is located in Melbourne, Florida.The Section Manager will be working closely with the Department Manager and fellow Section Managers to implement department initiatives, ensuring successful planning and execution of program test engineering activities and collaborating with programs to satisfy staffing needs and providing operations support.

Additionally, the manager serves as liaison between SIT and its internal and external customers.

You will manage a dynamic team of 10 to 18 engineers executing software, integration, and system test throughout the lifecycle of an IFC (Integrated Functional Capability).Key Responsibilities:Functional responsibilitiesSupport the annual salary review and promotion process.Mentor and develop the next generation of technical and project leadership.Improve and enforce software and test engineering processes and procedures.Maintain the Software Test Team’s staffing by conducting interviews and selecting the best candidate for the job.Technical responsibilities:Track, analyze and report on Laboratory Software Test teams’ cost, schedule, and project performance.Responsible for day-to-day operations required to run a high-performance development team of software engineers.Assess productivity, goals, objectives, and customer satisfaction and manage all aspects of their software test team’s development.Provide timely resource forecasts to IPT/functional organizations and assures proper staffing is in place to execute the SOW, while maintaining an integrated schedule.Drive process rigor and ensure compliance to meet company, program and security requirements.Ensure successful planning and execution of program test engineering activities.We offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment.

– $185,900.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
