What will you do?

The Software Product Manager will provide leadership for software products in the Clinical Sequencing Division (CSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

This person will manage a portfolio of on-market and new software products focused on NGS Oncology applications.

S/he will be responsible for development of informatics product strategy, definition, positioning, and management of product lifecycle for research and clinical software.

Up to 20% Travel (international and domestic) is required.
Specialty Diagnostics Group (SDG)
The Specialty Diagnostics Group offers a wide range of diagnostic test kits, reagents, culture media, instruments and associated products in order to serve customers in healthcare, clinical, pharmaceutical, industrial, and food safety laboratories.

Thermo Fisher’s healthcare products are used to increase the speed and accuracy of diagnoses, which improves patient care in a more cost-efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads software development process from concept through commercialization, including voice of customer research, definition of customer and product requirements and value proposition, manage global product launches and sales & support training.

Works collaboratively with other members of Thermo Fisher Scientific team to drive growth for the business segment
How will you get there?
Education:
5+ years of relevant experience or Masters or Ph.D.

with 3+ years of relevant experience Preferred degree: Bioinformatics / Computer Science (preferred), Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related degree.

Experience:
Familiarity with genomics, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), molecular biology products, and analysis software.

Knowledgeable about software development or scientific or diagnostic software development with prior experience in programming or coding.

Customer facing experience including roles such as technical support, product support, product specialist or product management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate value proposition and technical information to a range of customer and internal audiences.

Self-directed, persistent, and goal-oriented Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
