We are looking for a proven and progressive leader to join our Software Engineering Center team in El Segundo, California, a suburb of Los Angeles.
The Secure Sensor Solutions group is seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable Principal Software Engineer – Integrated Product Team Lead and Manager to implement best IPTL cost, schedule, and risk mitigation practices.
Job Responsibilities:* Manage team of 4-6 software engineers* Manage staffing for multiple programs* Part-take in mid-year and final year reviews with section team members* Leverage company best practices and capabilities to assist programs with cost, schedule and risk tracking* Lead a team to develop and deliver software builds per program cost and schedule requirements* Lead a team through program milestone reviews (i.e.
PDiR and CDiR)* Present at weekly program reviews for cost, schedule, budget, and staffing* Provide guidance on software engineering tool hardware infrastructure resource requirements* Assist engineers with DevOps/DevSecOps tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices* Work proactively to complete tasks with some oversight direction* Communicate effectively with team members across disciplines, project management, and customers* Support all the Earn Value (EV) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) activities* Significantly contribute to program and customer meetings and reviews* Function as a Team Lead or Technical Lead to other team members Required Skills:* Minimum of 8+ years’ experience developing software utilizing C, C++, or related tools/languages* Experience developing on Red Hat Linux or equivalent OS* Experience with DevSecOps philosophies* Experience with Coverity or LDRA or other equivalent static analysis tools* Experience with Earned Value* Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project* Hardware / software integration experience* Experience in every phase of the software development life-cycle* Strong knowledge of Software Development Processes* U.S.
Citizenship status is required, as this position needs an active DoD SECRET or higher clearance as of day one of employment Desired Skills:* Use of industry-standard hardware, middleware and development tools to streamline development and integration* Utilizing COTS tools on radar systems to create portable, extensibility secure systems* Earned Value and Variance Analysis skills* Understanding of risks and opportunities analysis* Understanding of Agile Software development and Scrum methodoligies Required Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related STEM degree from accredited university.
