What You’ll Do

The Software Platform Director is a deeply critical role at Leia.

The job they do will shape how the entire company builds, scales and distributes the web and mobile software.

As Software Platform Director, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Define, communicate and steward the technical vision of the platform team Own the planning, architecture and execution of web, service and mobile applications Lead, manage and mentor senior engineers and engineering managers Lead a team geographically distributed across the US, Brazil, Ukraine, France and China Align expectations with product stakeholders to identify key priorities for department  Delegate resources to meet changing requirements and deadlines Define departmental growth plan and lead in hiring efforts Understand cloud infrastructure and advise architecture and devops teams Foster cross team collaboration amongst different software teams within the company Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors and partners
What You’ll Have
Experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc…) Experience with Android software development Experience with microservices Experience with distributed, scalable systems Experience with agile development Experience working with product and project management teams Strong analytical and problem solving skills Able to organize and prioritize tasks while keeping a clear view on the big picture A team player who collaborates cross-functionally but can execute autonomously 5+ years working in a computer science field BS or MS in Computer Science, or comparable experience.
