Supporting the continuous growth and evolution of Spectacles platform, our team is working hard on creating Spectacles AR SDK as part of our mission to bring immersive experiences on AR Eyewear to more people, places, and moments, every day and ensure Snap’s role in a mixed reality future.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join the Snap Lab team and be part of AR future today!
What you’ll do:

Design, implement, improve, and support reusable components, frameworks and SDKs that enable immersive experiences on Snap Spectacles AR Glasses

Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices via code and design reviews

Partner with design, interactive engineering, and product teams to shape and launch products
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Strong understanding of code optimization, memory management, concurrency and multi-threading, and experience in software performance analysis
-
Experience in one or more object oriented languages like Kotlin, Java, C# or C++
-
Experience in delivering top quality, scalable code with extensive unit / functional testing
-
Motivated engineer who can learn quickly on an evolving set of technologies.

Good verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree (or greater) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar program with a focus on Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
-
3+ years of software development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of Android or Linux and good understanding of OS concepts such as IPC, security model, process management and OS-level graphics.

1+ years of Mobile or Embedded development experience
-
Practice designing SDKs, APIs and Platforms
-
4+ years of experience building and shipping high performance code
