We are always on the lookout for new technologies that can make our services more efficient, reliable and easy to maintain.
As part of our team, your contributions will directly affect how Honey grows its user base, thus driving high business impact.We expect our engineers to take ownership of their work and share responsibility for operational excellency: from coding best practices to testing and monitoring. You can expect to collaborate with product managers and engineers across all features and teams in addition to stakeholders from other departments such as Marketing, HR, and Legal.
The Growth Team highly values cooperation and curiosity. We offer a collaborative environment where engineers are encouraged to work together on finding the right solutions for problems, share ideas and take on challenging tasks. You can expect mentorship and guidance from the team, as we believe those to be fundamental to our engineers’ growth and ability to bring their best to the team.
What You’ll Do:
As a Software Engineer at Honey, you will:
- Work on a diverse range of projects using full stack JavaScript.
- Write unit and integration tests for your code.
- Brainstorm and participate in the design and set up of grassroot applications.
- Communicate and solve problems with teammates.
- Have the opportunity to present your work and share knowledge both inside our team and across the organization.
About You:
- Knowledge of coding languages, preferably JavaScript.
- Programming experience using both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Ability and desire to continuously learn new technologies.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to be flexible and pivot when the work requires it.
- Experience implementing and consuming APIs.
- Knowledge of different types of data storage.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong sense of ownership for the work that you do.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with front end technologies such as HTML, CSS and frameworks like React.js.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
