The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Bus/Payload Products Lead to join the team in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops, and motivates a team of software/hardware engineers.

  • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with other departments in electronics Product area

  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving

  • Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team.  Capable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted parties

  • Analyzes and support factory support issues related to software/hardware integration

  • Develop test architecture for new flight unit

  • Develops and executes software project and process plans, implements policies and procedures STE network and configuration

  • Develop new architecture for data storage and recovery

  • Develop new interfaces for new instruments and systems in C#.net and labview

  • Mentor new engineers with STE Products

  • Enhance test case architecture for Bus and RF products

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree

  • 10+ years? experience in Object Oriented Application Development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Advanced experience in C#, .net or labview

  • Preferred test experience and driver development is plus

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
