Senior Software Engineer (Los Angeles, CA – REMOTE)

In this role you will
- Work within an Agile engineering team to develop robust and reliable software solutions used by over 6000 clients to engage over 75 million people
- Redesign existing systems and build new scalable microservices architecture on AWS with .NET Core services
- Collaborate closely with product, UI/UX, and central engineering teams to build elegant and scalable web applications
- Work with SDETs, SREs, and others to help automate manual processes and inefficiencies
- Work with more junior engineers to help them achieve their career goals
- Be curious, collaborate, and grow your career
- Own the development and deployment of services end-to-end
- Design, architect, and document software specifications with security/scalability/performance in mind.
Youve got what it takes if you have
- BS/MS in Computer science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack development of external-facing web applications
- Experience developing services using modern API standards such as REST or GraphQL
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of architecture and deep knowledge of the inner workings of programming languages
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical skills to help solve complex problems in an enterprise environment
- Comfort with working collaboratively and being a great teammate
- Comfort with working on all aspects of feature and infrastructure development including code, testing, deploying/deployment pipelines, CI/CD, etc
Extra dose of awesome if you have
- Experience with C# .NET (but we interview language agnostically)
- Familiarity with Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js or Angular
- Experience with non-relational databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress
