Build the Future of Cyber Security Detection and Response
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our growing Security Operations Services team and help build the future of cybersecurity detection and response.
This position will report to the Director of Product Management and will partner closely with Service Practice and Engineering counterparts.
You will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds.
You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at Optiv speed.
As a Technical Product Manager, you drive the execution and success of the product vision.
You understand the business strategy, client needs, and you work with Engineering to make it happen.
What you get to do in this role:
Understand client needs and translate them into technical requirements and success criteria.
Engage internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations.
Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
Create strategic differentiation based on your in-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft Security: Azure Sentinel, Azure Security Center, 365 Defender, Azure Defender, Microsoft 365 Defender, Defender for Endpoints.
Research new technologies and they can be leveraged to provide competitive advantage and value to our clients.
Conduct workshops and discovery with engineering, UX and other stakeholders to define future solutions at both a technical and functional level Demo the offering to customers, partners, customer advisory boards, and other internal groups Talk to customers.
Understand their pain points and motivations and translate these needs into user stories
Qualifications for Success:
5 or more years of Information Security experience required.
Three to five years working on technology-powered products as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, or data scientist.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Technical understanding of security services and how they may be delivered Knowledge of managed detection and response (MDR) solutions Knowledge of orchestration and automation solutions (SOAR) Knowledge of Microsoft Security Technology (Sentinel, MCAS, M365 Defender, Defender for Endpoints) Experience working with agile environments: user story definition, scrum, sprints, etc.
Passion for tackling business opportunities by solving customer problems.
You start with the customer and work backward to a solution You empathize with our buyers and feel compelled to create innovative solutions that address their jobs to be done.
You’re first in line to tackle complex problems but don’t mind asking help if need be.
Certification in Security/Networking such as CISSP, CISA, or other security-specific vendor/product certifications is not required but desirable.
