Job Description Introducing an up and coming software company that is one of a number of organizations competing to provide standards to replace passwords for authenticating web applications. This company provides federated identity management and self-hosted identity access management (IAM) solutions to web identities and single sign-on solutions. They are looking to hire a Senior Network Security Engineer who can build identity security for the global enterprise via attribute based access controls. This platform would provide customers, employees and partners with access to cloud, mobile, SaaS, on-premises applications, and APIs, while also managing identity and profile data at scale. Required Skills Experience Minimum of five years of hands on advanced experience implementing security best practices for Palo Alto Firewalls andor Panorama, advanced firewall features, threat prevention, high-availability, IPsec tunnels, security policy and security rules, logging and monitoring Experience in applying advanced skills in the security design, configuration, implementation of secure internal and external networks and troubleshoot security and network systems to resolve problems quickly and effectively. Experience with load balancers, proxies, network monitoring tools such as NetDisco and Wireshark, etc. Advanced knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth, zerotrust) ability to design and implement secure configuration management techniques. Extensive and advanced knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities ability to continuously stay abreast of emerging threats or vulnerabilities ability to understand complex concepts and issues related to cyber and its organizational impact. Broad knowledge and experience with IT security and network infrastructure components with advanced understanding of internet protocols including TCPIP, IPsec, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, along with IP routing, Local Area Networking and Wide Area Networking technologies. Ability to develop and maintain thorough technical documentation and diagrams ability to translate data and test results into evaluative conclusions. Advanced analytical skills with ability to produce system or network diagrams, logical data flow diagrams, and other required documentation. Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans including work estimates, resource needs, and milestones skilled in the use of project management tools such as MS Project. Experience with monitoring tools to monitor organization’s systems for security breaches or intrusions such as SIEM technologies.
