Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer is a top-level technical position that specializes in server and network administration, network device management, security, and network infrastructure.

This role will primarily be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting servers, networks, network security devices, and software while delivering new or expanded technical solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Act as an authority of network technologies and provide expertise and ongoing support for enterprise network systems.

Ability to set priorities for scope, risk, and quality of technology solutions to meet business needs.

Lead projects and act as a technical advisor and domain specialist to multi-functional teams and partners and define/implement network infrastructure to support business needs.

Define goals/outcomes, timelines, planned work, and deliver completed outcomes independently or with minimal direction.

Utilize monitoring and performance tools to identify and resolve infrastructure needs, anticipate customer issues, and identify solutions to sophisticated problems.

Plan for new initiatives and expand the existing network infrastructure.

Create and maintain network documentation.

Provide expert-escalation for end user support and resolution for network, telephony, and other systems issues.

Communicate effectively with all partners, both technical and non-technical.

Seek opportunities to improve processes and identify and implement solutions.

Act as a mentor for peers and contribute to achievement of team goals.

QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) College degree in the field of computer science and/or 7 years equivalent work experience in a highly technical field.

5-7 years of recent advanced security, network device management, virtual server administration and configuration required Language Skills Excellent written, verbal communication and relational skills Strong business, telephone, and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
