Duties and Responsibilities
Common goals, uncommon potential
EDCI department is looking for a highly motivated senior full stack engineer with experience in technical product design, specification, development, deployment, and maintenance.
This individual will work closely with managers and teams in EDCI department as well as organizations across First Republic Bank.
A successful candidate will have experience in the Fintech space and in developing multiple projects – from ideation, creation, roll-out, and support.
This is a high-impact role tackling both technical and operational challenges, with a high level of ownership, visibility, and responsibility.
What you will do as a Senior Full Stack Engineer:
– Build and manage scalable, efficient, and high-performance software around our data platform and applications from birth of an idea to continued production support.
– Extract technical specs from business requirements and implement a solution with a foresight to be scalable and maintainable.
– Develop and prepare documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements.
– Work closely with business analysts and other technical partners in driving the projects and see through to completion.
– Take ownership and responsibility of your deliverables and communicate proactively.
– Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
– Design and implement deployment pipelines using various CI/CD tools and systems
– Interact with business users, other development, and testing teams.
– Follow coding best practices-Unit testing, design/code reviews, code coverage, documentation etc.
– Respond quickly to bug fixes and enhancement requests and be able to take directions and complete tasks on-time with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
You could be a great fit if you have:
– Extensive expertise in full stack JavaScript (MEAN preferred)
– Some experience in developing and deploying enterprise level systems in Java
– Some experience in Python (preferred)
– Experience with RESTful APIs / Micro-services and server-side APIs integration
– Experience in FinTech space (banking preferred)
– Worked with automated build tools, continuous integration using Jenkins CI/CD and others
– Worked with Github, Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft SQL Server
– Sound knowledge of repeatable automated processes for building, testing, documenting and deploying an application at scale
– Experience with Data Warehousing, ETL Pipelines, large complex data sets, complex SQL queries
– Expertise in operational data stores and real time data integration
– Some experience with big data technologies such as Kafka, Spark, and others
– Been part of distributed software engineering team
– Desire to bring new and innovative solutions to the table to resolve challenging software issues as they may develop throughout the product lifecycle
– Experience with Agile / Scrum development processes
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, taking initiative to recommend and develop innovative solutions
