This role places a strong emphasis on both developing complex build/deployment systems and providing support to a team of developers. The ideal candidate will be someone who’s passionate about developing software the right way and knows how to maximize efficiency within the SDLC through automation.

Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Management Information Systems or a related discipline; Technical Certifications are a plus
- 10+ years combined experience as a Software Engineer and DevOps engineer in a web or ecommerce software product development organization.
- Automated build platform/continuous integration tooling (Jenkins preferred)
- Experience with building and deploying applications on AWS
- Demonstrated experience leading automaton infrastructure/application systems deployment and configuration
- Expert with AWS services (certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect preferred)
- Configuration and Security Management (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, Vault, KMS)
- Ability for coding and scripting with Python or Php
- Infrastructure/cloud automation tooling (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, Packer)
- Service Mesh/Discovery Tooling (e.g. Consul, Envoy, Istio, etcd)
- Containers and Container Management (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality solutions in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly
- Deep experience with the Agile/Scrum SDLC processes through the entire SDLC: software design, coding, unit test, integration test, build and release
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline.
- Eager and adaptable to change. Works with little guidance and direction. Able to navigate complex systems with ease.
- Demonstrated experience leading/contributing significantly to an open-source infrastructure/application platform initiative a big plus (e.g. Kubernetes/Istio/etc. upstream commits)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
