The Role
We are the fastest growing e-commerce company in LA and we’re looking for a DevOps Engineer that will help us build and monitor our applications and cloud infrastructure.
You will work alongside an awesome team on support while focusing heavily on automation, monitoring, tooling, and scaling the infrastructure.
You will develop a deep understanding of how our business works and how all of our engineering components are involved.
What You’ll Do:
Build an automated system installation/configuration procedures Implement and deploy scripts/tools to facilitate error free and repeatable software deployment processes Contribute to planning efforts for disaster recovery, capacity expansion, component upgrading and system hardening Identify problems and inefficiencies in the growing environment and making strategic recommendations for improvements Create and update technical documentation on installations, incidents, and procedures Troubleshoot performance issues and production environments Contribute expertise in technical areas to the team as a whole Join weekly on-call rotations Work on Ad hoc projects depending on needs of Engineering team Help development teams scale their infrastructure in AWS
What You’ll Need:
B.S.
in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Advanced scripting in Bash, Python, Golang, Ruby etc.
Strong knowledge of web application infrastructure Expert experience with Core AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Cloudwatch, Route53 Deep understanding and knowledge of Linux and Containers Strong knowledge of Monitoring Cloud computing platform experience Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as code Working knowledge of CI/CD implementation best practices Self-starter, able to tackle projects from start to finish with ownership Comfortable collaborating with other engineers
