The Boeing AvionX Computing Platform Software (CPS) team is seeking Senior Device Driver Software Engineers to join us at one of our locations including: Hazelwood, Missouri, Plano, Texas, Mesa, Arizona or Long Beach, California to develop device drivers for real-time, embedded flight software on safety critical and mission critical avionics systems constrained by size, weight, and power (SWaP) and cyber assured environments. These systems must meet the highest levels of safety standards, levels of rigor and design assurances required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Defense (DOD) and National Security Agency (NSA) certification authorities as they are deployed on latest Commercial aircraft, Defense platforms and weapons systems, including un-piloted and autonomous vehicles of the future. The ideal candidate for this role is experienced at device driver software development for avionics , utilizing rigorous design practices, efficient and automated processes and tools, to delivery on-time, high quality, safety assured and cyber assured software. Position Responsibilities: Develops, documents and maintains reusable architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for device driver software on real-time embedded systems. Serves as a subject matter expert for device drivers and infrastructure software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Creates and organizes a well-defined, estimated and prioritized set of initiatives, epics and stories to maintain a robust backlog for time-phasing and planning. Participates in daily scrums, using agile practices, to communicate clearly and openly on incremental progress and to inform the team of any help needed on impediments and roadblocks and suggest timely remedies for common ailments during retrospections. This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
