· The Product and Technology team for our Leading Tech Client is looking for a talented, seasoned, and detail-oriented Senior Data Engineer who wants to take on big data challenges in an agile way.
· This is a unique opportunity to be the sole owner of data solutions that empower the Analytics and Product teams to make data driven decisions and effectively measure their results. This entrepreneurial and data-loving person will take ownership of end-to-end data integrations and will be responsible for architecting new data solutions and optimizing existing data architectures for our Data and Analytics teams.
· Architect end-to-end solutions around data integrations, insisting on the highest standards on operations in ETL and data pipeline security
· Design, build, and launch efficient & reliable data pipelines using AWS technologies including Spark, EMR, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3
· Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including analytics, product, engineering, marketing and external vendors to define and deliver technology-driven data solutions
· Design and develop new systems in partnership with other software engineers to enable quick and easy consumption of data
· Researching and integrating partner vendor data solutions
· Ownership of data integrity and security processes for data pipelines, providing on-call technical support as needed

As a Data Engineer, you will be working with the Product, Analytics, and Marketing teams to design/architect solutions around content consumption and marketing data from sites and apps, including data from external partners.
· You will be tasked with establishing data extraction and transformation processes from point A to point B (and everything in between), ensuring data integrity, flexibility, and security standards in technical solutions.
· The Product and Technology team is responsible for the subscription membership product. It gives its customers more of the podcasts that they love, including early access to new episodes of some of our hit podcasts, plus exclusive and bonus content, all ad free.
· This team manages the product and technology solutions for both the app and site, including analytics, content distribution, integrations with partner distributors, and customer service relations.
Job Requirements:
Requirements
· 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
· Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
· Experience in SQL
· 2+ years experience integrating third-party vendor solutions
· Strong understanding of data pipeline technologies and a track record of delivering sophisticated data pipeline technology stacks
· Experience with acquiring data from APIs
· Experience in scripting – Python/Java/Shell
· Experience with more than one coding language
· Designing and implementing real-time pipelines
· Experience with data quality and validation
· AWS technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with two or more of the following tools: mParticle, Amplitude, Athena, AWS Glue, DynamoDB, Periscope, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks
· Experience as a data engineering lead
· Experience with AWS ETL/Data Warehouse services
· Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
· Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations and how they impact a data pipeline implementation
· Graduate degree in a related technical field
· A love of podcasts!
