Senior Data Engineer: Develop, maintain, and deliver data management and database systems and solutions for the company’s internal systems and operations. Conceptualize and implement solutions for the delivery, storage, processing, and infrastructure of the OMAZE data ecosystem. Work with internal users and management to gather business requirements for the company’s database systems and develop detailed database designs and architecture by preparing data models, flow charts, schematic diagrams, and mappings of data sources, transformations, and data movement. Perform cost-benefit and feasibility analysis for proposed solutions and establish project scope, goals, phases, and timelines. lead the design, development, and implementation of database systems using technologies such as Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and DynamoDB. Develop database tables and create complex database objects such as functions, views, stored procedures, indexes, constraints, and triggers. Monitor database system functionality to identify potential problems and test systems for performance and data integrity. Perform unit performance, regression, and user acceptance testing and modify systems to eliminate errors, simplify interfaces, enhance performance and usability, and accommodate dynamic business needs. Ensure that all development, validation, data storage, and transformational processes follow the internal software development life cycle (SDLC) and meet data compliance requirements such as CCPA, GDPR, and other certifications. Serve as a subject-matter expert with regards to the company’s database systems and solutions and provide technical support as needed. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and industry trends in it, database design, and data engineering and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
