Overview Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, the Sr. Reliability Engineer will develop the required systems, processes, and policies to ensure applications and supporting infrastructure meet Service Level Objectives and Error Budget Policy. Working closely with the Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and Development Teams, the Senior Reliability Engineer will ensure that all application and data pipelines, as well as other applications within the enterprise, perform at world-class levels. The SRE will solve interesting technical challenges by defining, designing, deploying, and troubleshooting key service, platforms, and infrastructure, while maintaining awareness of reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance. In this role, the SRE will understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of the production services heshe owns. In partnership with the firm’s Development teams, the SRE ensures that critical services are designed, delivered and deployed to the firm with a focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. SREs are accountable for the end-to-end performance and operability of the services they own. The Sr. Reliability Engineer will be responsible for designing security and governance policies related to cloud infrastructure. In addition to automating cloud infrastructure services, the SRE will identify cutting-edge products and services that facilitate constant growth. Fintech or high-tech industry experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials or equivalent technical experience in the Reliability DevOps discipline is required. Experience with Git, Rancher, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Python, Docker, Istio and PowerShell, Terraform, Airflow, SQL, and a cloud. Thorough understanding of distributed systems and scalability. Familiar with RBAC, IAM and general security and networking, micro services architecture and CICD pipelines. Able to create, manage and administer ProductionUATdevelopment environments for an enterprise application. Knowledge of networking and security DNS records, Ingress, Load Balancers (F5 LbaaS NGINX). Knowledge of Containers (Docker), developing software to work in Containers and Container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes). Competency with performance tuning to maintain system reliability and stability. Understanding of Cloud Native Technologies and appreciation of Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Charter. Various CICD toolset experience is a must. Knowledge of and practice with Observability and Observability enabling tools. Experience with automationconfiguration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible or an equivalent. Methodical approach to troubleshooting complex problems.
