Salesforce Business Systems Analyst (Remote)

Truckstop.com is hiring a Salesforce Business Systems Analyst Remote; any location Position Summary: The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for analyzing the business needs for Salesforce and its integrations to support product improvements and innovations, including software development efforts.

The BSA will work with business departments, stakeholders, and technical product owner for SFDC to learn, analyze, and document current business processes and application functionality as well as elicit and document new requirements and system flows.

The BSA is responsible for writing business system requirements and translating them into appropriate technical specifications to be used by the technology teams in new development and testing, in accordance with Salesforce best practices.

A proficient BSA will learn and understand the business and advise the business on how to best leverage the capabilities inherent in Salesforce.

The successful BSA will be responsible for these activities related to Truckstop’s Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud Solution.

Experience with Zuora’s CPQ product, or other CPQ experience is highly desirable but not required.

Essential Job Functions: Acts as a liaison between business departments, technology teams, and quality assurance team to ensure requirements are met and incorporated into system design, deployment, and testing.

Project assignments often require preliminary discussions with the business to bring clarity to the scope and objectives.

The BSA coordinates and fosters consensus among multi-component teams in the development of technology projects.

The BSA articulates the technology and functionality available in the Salesforce and advise on inherent best practice to leverage that technology.

Follows standard requirements definition methodologies including developing Use Cases, High Level Designs, Wire Frames, Process Flows, User Stories, and other required business and technical documents The BSA could be involved in all phases from need identification to implementation.

The business could engage the BSA once the solution (business system requirements and design) are defined and take them to enough detail that the requirements are testable and verifiable.

Elicit, learn, analyze, and document the requirements of the business by utilizing interview techniques, document and process analysis, use case building, user stories and user scenarios.

Serve as functional requirements lead on Salesforce projects with Project manager Map requirements to out-of-box functionality within Salesforce Understand the “as is” environment and provide functional expertise and knowledge of the existing business practices Analyze incoming projects and production support requests
– triage them and work with Salesforce team to adjust Salesforce roadmap as necessary Develop and enhance relationships with key business stakeholders, actively managing their expectations and monitoring their satisfaction levels Creative thinking

Identify interactions between systems to identify dependencies and design considerations for the new solution.

Work with technical architect and dev team to translate business requirements into appropriate specifications Work closely with the User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) team to collaborate on a solution recommendation that meets the needs of the business while accounting for technical considerations.

Control solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with programmers.

Knowledge of technologies including SQL, relational databases, queries, scripts, web services, APIs, and data interchange is desirable but not required.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Write detailed test requirements for Quality Assurance (QA) to use as a minimum viable baseline.

Review and validate test cases and scenarios created and executed by QA.

Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.

Assist with analysis to identify root cause and define potential solutions to system issues and defects.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Salesforce Administrator Certification.

Other Salesforce Certifications also highly desirable, especially Salesforce Consultant.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Salesforce implementation efforts following a standard software development lifecycle approach.

Become a subject matter expert on the features and capabilities of SFDC and installed apps Ability to set priorities and work to tight deadlines Demonstrated effectiveness in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment Knowledge of industry standard development methodologies and technologies.

The position requires mobility.

Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis.

Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse.

Work Environment: The working conditions will vary between an office environment and a remote home environment.

The ideal protected indoor work environment is a clean, non-hazardous work area.

The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office or remote home environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
