Sales Engineer – Automation Solutions

This is a great opportunity with a successful control systems integrator with multiple offices across the US. They specialize on projects ranging from PLC and DCS based controls, Motion Control and Vision Inspection, Green Field facilities and OEM Retrofits, Database Applications and Recipe Management to Production Asset Management systems. They are the leader in providing value on the production floor.

This position is responsible for promoting and selling automation solutions for new and existing customers, along with providing customer feedback to the software team to actively promote improvements. By actively promoting their existing software platforms and listening to the customers’ business drivers and challenges, the Software Solutions Specialist will increase sales volume of those platforms, drive improvements of those platforms, and assist the customers’ in achieving their business objectives. The Software Solutions Specialist is a strong communicator both internally and externally while they build, develop and execute customer relationships and secure business across a variety of industries.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.),from four-year college or university
  • Five or more years’ related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of electrical control components and capabilities of relevant controls platforms is strongly preferred
  • Contract negotiation skills and experience highly preferred
