The successful candidate will be a member of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Communications Department and will be support efforts to ensure the technical integrity and quality of the systems engineering work throughout the program life cycle of an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Communications (ISRC) RF Program, including IRAD and related pursuits.
The Digital Electronics Systems Engineer will be responsible for the development of Payload digital electronics requirements, specifications and signal processing, in support of unit design.
The successful candidate will interface across multiple disciplines, including system architects, and system/subsystem designers.
The Digital Electronics Systems Engineer will provide technical support for requirements definition and flow down to ensure compliance with engineering processes and procedures throughout all phases of the program.
Required Skills: 8 years of Digital Systems engineering experience Experience in development (design, fabrication, integration & test) of high reliability digital products for space applications Technical expertise in digital signal processing; modem design and optimization; advanced coding and modulation schemes; digital pre-distortion techniques; carrier recovery; channel equalization; physical network layers; Experience in FPGA design and development Experience in electrical design integration interpreting sensor/payload requirements and decomposing to design requirements and verification techniques Demonstrated experience in supporting requirements development, allocation, verification and analysis for digital products Demonstrated experience in hardware and firmware integration; Demonstrated experiencein the interface definition and verification and validation of electronics products Experience in supporting design reviews (e.G.
System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review) and establishing technical baseline Experience with developing and presenting technical briefings Experience establishing and maintaining working relationship with all levels of the organization, including customers, users, and other peer groups Willingness to mentor program junior engineers and review their work for quality Ability to foster culture in-line with high performance and cohesive teams necessary to maintain technical baseline control, while meeting schedule and cost challenges Experience supporting the development of new business proposals and pursuits Experience effectively leading teams of technical experts to resolve challenging technical problems U.S.
