We are seeking an experienced Software Integrated Product Team Leader (IPTL), committed to innovative, cost-effective solutions in support of a small / medium size program within the Space Systems Mission area.
The candidate will provide engineering leadership for development, integration, and verification of complex systems.A successful candidate will also need to augment the software team’s capabilities by assisting in development activities such as document preparation, requirements development and Matlab script creation/execution.
An understanding of the full software development lifecycle would be beneficial.
Technical support of the software development effort is required as the IPTL work will not account for 100% of a candidate’s time.Duties include:Technical leadership, system architecture, advanced verification system development, verification planning and coordination, assembly, preparation, and maintenance; troubleshooting; installation & checkout; softwareintegration; IV&V; test data reduction and analysis.Will administer technical reviews; provide guides to engineering; coordinates designs; leads day-to-day operations; and represents engineering on the program team.The IPTL will drive effective application of SOFTWARE Engineering to sensor products, and technologies.Financial and Schedule metrics including Cost Account Management (CAM) which includes the following but not limited to understating processes apart of program startup, managing Integrated Master Schedules with Budget allocation, WBSs, Earn Value, EACs, LREs, Variance Analyses, Scrum/Agile development, Software Development plans.Dynamic individual that can multi-task among multiple programsCollaboration with Engineering Task Leads, Program Managers, Finance and Planners in weekly and monthly cost and schedule reportingAssess, monitor, and update Risk and Opportunity for assigned scopeMonitoring, drafting and approving Baseline Change RequestsWeekly interaction with finance managers to communicate financial objectivesMonitoring of cost and schedule trendsIdentification and analysis of staffing needs against budget and scheduleRequired Skills:Experience with full software life-cycle (development, implementation, test, design and overall architecture)Experienced in system IV& V and T&EExperience with risk managementExperience building relationships and partnering with resources, team player, demonstrated interpersonal skillsProficiency in analytical skills, strong written and verbal communicatorManages multiple tasks and prioritiesEVMS, project execution and financial responsibility for system development and sell offProgram planning and executionMinimum 10 years of experience in Software Engineering with strong experience in leadership and executionSCI with in-scope (5yr) SSBIORTop Secret with in-scope (5yr) SSBI.U.S.
