You will utilize your overall systems expertise and be responsible for requirements management in DOORS and planning / executing the Integration Verification & Validation (IV&V) content for a complex, Nest Gen, Electro-Optical System.
This role spans from planning activities through system acceptance testing and delivery in a production environment.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong problem solving skills and have demonstrated capability in DOORS, specification management, and IV& V experience.***Position can be filled in McKinney, TX or El Segundo, CA ***Main tasks will be:Requirements management in DOORS and/or DOORS Next Gen.Maintain and manage external and internal specifications and VCRM (Verification Cross Reference Matrix).Develop IV& V procedures based on the test plans, test requirements, final product design, and the specific test assets to be used; ensure delivered products (system, subsystems, and components) function as designed.Verify that the configurations of the system under test, test assets, test procedures, and reduction/analysis tools are documented and captured.Ensure that all tests are completed in accordance with the contract, test procedures, standard processes, and applicable regulations.Required Skills:Minimum 8 years of related systems engineering experience to include airborne EO/IR system and/or hardware design, integration and test, and product transition to production; requires experience with requirement management using DOORS and/or other requirement configuration management tools.Experience with laboratory test, flight test, and qualification of airborne systemsKnowledge of and experience with system operation for electro-optical systemsStrong math and physics backgroundWillingness to travel periodically in support of offsite testing along with customer and subcontractor meetingsPrior experience working with multi-disciplined teams, generating technical documents and assisting with technical presentations.An active and in-scope DOD Secret US security clearance is required.Desired Skills:Experience using Model Based System Engineering tools (DOORS Next Gen, Cameo)Experience and knowledge of transition to production programs in the EO/IR domainExperience with developing and executing factory test plans, procedures, and equipmentDemonstrated production support, troubleshooting, and factory improvement initiative experienceExperience with Electro-Optical system performance analysis, and simulation and modeling of EO systems; knowledge in image & signal processing theory and practice; knowledge of EO/IR or Laser domain.Experience in scripting, and performing analysis using MATLAB, C++, Python, or similar language; knowledge and experience with LabVIEW, dSpace, or FPGA programming Required Education:Bachelor’s Degree in a related STEM discipline, such as ME, EE, AE, Math, Physics, Optics; an advanced degree(s) is preferred.185398Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
