We are seeking an Electronic Principal Systems Engineer who has experience with the life cycle a space mission including system-level trades, requirements development & flow down, system interface development, system power budget management, performance assessment, integration & test, verification, andvalidation.

The desired candidate would have knowledge in Electronics, Embedded Software/ Firmware, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Interface Management, and Hyperspectral Imaging.

This position will interface with the Lead Systems Engineer, Chief Engineer and other stake holders to ensure program objectives are achieved.

Required Skills: 8 years engineering experience Experience defining and designing electronics for space applications Experience working with multi-disciplined teams Experience with verification, validation, and requirement sell-off Experience defining technical budgets (i.E.

Power budget) Experience with Requirement Management using IBM Rational DOORs Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering tools (such as IBM Rational, Magic Draw, or Vitec CORE) for developing architectures and functional analysis Evidence of problem solving and time management skills Active DOD Secret Clearance U.S.

Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S.

Security Clearance as of Day 1 of employment Ability to access US only data systems Desired Skills: Experience with SEIT tools such as STK, MATLAB, C++, and Python Experience with mission operations and CONOPS Ability to carry out design of spacecraft subsystems Knowledge of Focal Plane Arrays Experience with Embedded Software/ Firmware Knowledge of Hyperspectral payload design Experience with Integration and Test of Space Hardware Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of the organization Knowledge of space radiation environment and orbital debris environment Knowledge of US Export/Import laws in regards to space technologies Required Education: BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related STEM discipline Desired Education: Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related STEM discipline IdeasInOrbit 169827 Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
