We are looking to continue our growth this year by adding members to our Frontend, Backend, and Data Engineering Team. If you are a strong backend engineer with Java and some Ruby/Groovy/Rails experience and enjoy working on internal and external applications that help our users learn in a more exciting way, this is the position for you!
What You Will Be Doing
This position will be focused on heavy development in Java (Not J2EE) and some development in Ruby/Groovy/Rails
- Design and Code using Java and Ruby to help operate our internal and external applications
- Develop software for services like load balancers, microservices, logging & metrics pipelines
- Work is a team-oriented environment with frontend engineers and product to agree on requirements, API contracts, etc.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Experience developing in Java
- Some exposure to Ruby, Groovy, and/or Rails
- Experience with Frameworks like Rails, Hibernate, and/or Spring
- You should also have experience with SQL, Cloud Development, runtime, data structures, and Full life-cycle Agile development
