Regional Sales Director: Software for Restaurant Management

Small Box Energy, the leaders in energy management and food safety systems for restaurants and convenience stores, currently seeks an experienced and ambitious Regional Sales Director with EXPERIENCE SELLING INTO RESTAURANTS OR FRANCHISES to lead the Southern California Sales region. As a hyper-growth company with a proven solution by numerous corporate franchises, Small Box Energy is expanding with major brands levering a unique monthly subscription model. The fundamental value proposition is to deliver a complete software system that address the critical food safety needs while being cash-flow positive in month one through direct energy savings. This position would lead the effort to close local restaurant corporations, chains, franchisees and independents.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for all sales within the regional, securing restaurant and convenience store contracts based on specific goals. Pursue and close franchise leads, regional involvement within the restaurant associations, brand shows and webinars. Increase market penetration with restaurants and convenience stores in your region with a high degree of urgency. Ensure strategic coverage within your defined geographic market, which is exclusive. Duties would include, but not limited to, identifying and closing restaurants and convenience stores focusing on those with 5-100 locations.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant sales experience selling into the restaurant space.
  • Sufficient technical skills to explain a hardware/software sale.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present solutions in meetings and make proposals.
  • Must meet and exceed individual and team targets, objectives, and goals.
  • Be results driven, have a positive attitude, and a great sense of urgency. High-energy is essential.
  • Proven organizational skills, process orientated, and able to work with deployment teams across functions.

Travel Percentage: Approximately 50% in market, predominantly driving.
Compensation: Base of $65-100k based on experience in selling into restaurant or convenience store space with commission target of $100k+ for total compensation of $200k+. Commission plan pays as solutions are installed. In addition to the base and generous sales commission/bonus plan, a 401K plan, insurance paid 90% by the company (including: medical and dental), and generous PTO offered.
