We are seeking a strong and versatile developer to join our investment team of portfolio managers and analysts. You will need to be able to work effectively on both legacy systems and new development in multiple programming languages and tech stacks transition SAS-based systems through to modern cloud-based architectures written in R. You will work closely with our portfolio managers and senior analysts to support portfolio management platform operating smoothly, perform data quality check, and plan future enhancements to our systems. This is a role bridging IT and investment team, so you need to act as an escalated support to help IT troubleshoot any process error and provide solution for fixing the error. Much of this work will be under time pressure, so you will need to be able to make pragmatic decisions about prioritization of urgent versus future work and quick versus permanent solutions. Our business partners speak the language of portfolio management, so you will need to have a genuine interest in understanding financial instruments and portfolio construction/optimization. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn about workflow of investment data and process
  • Perform data quality control of the vendor data
  • Trouble shoot data issue and support daily investment process
  • Implement enhancement to existing process to mitigate future risk
  • Provide programming support for data inquiry for various internal groups
  • Willing to learn SAS programming
  • Willing to learn investment management industry (prior experience a plus)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information technology, or a related technical field
  • Proficient in programming, with 2+ years of working experience
  • Experienced or willing to learn R, Python and AWS cloud services
