Programmer / Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client looking for Programmer Analyst in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing production console applications, web applications, web services
  • Develop a plan for migrating existing production applications to newer environment
  • Reverse engineer existing legacy production applications
  • Recompile legacy .NET applications to more current, supported .NET version
  • Implement upgraded application to newer environment
  • Resolve production errors after migration
  • Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting of all production issues
  • Create, update and maintain production support documentation. (job steps, recovery procedures)
  • Turn over documentation to respective support teams for future support

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant development or engineering experience or combination of education, training and experience
  • 9-12 Years Experience
  • Programming skills with ASP, HTML, Visual Basic, VB Script, VBA, VB.Net, C# and ASP.Net
  • Solid knowledge of MS SQL Server, SQL, SSIS, SSRS
  • Experience developing console applications, web application, web services
  • Experience migrating legacy console applications, web applications, web services to newer technologies and deploying to newer environments
  • Windows server administration experience with IIS, windows services, system logs
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues in the production environment without lower environments
  • Ability to read code and understand what happens without having to execute the code
  • Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools a plus
  • Knowledge of load balancing and networking as it pertains to applications a plus
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence a plus
  • Knowledge of Powershell a plus
  • Financial Services experience preferred
