Principal Application Developer-Javascript Developer – Data Modernization

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Principal Application Developer-Javascript Developer.

The Principal Application Developer-Javascript Developer will help lead, manage, and support the technical implementation of new and ongoing data modernization projects for the Acute Communicable Disease Control (ACDC) program within the Department of Public Health.

The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 2/22/2022 with potential renewal.

Pay Rate-

$59.27/hr working 40 hours a week

Shifts: M-F (100% Telework)

Employee will be working a minimum of 8 hours a day between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM.

Job Duties

· Help lead, manage, and support the technical implementation of new and ongoing data modernization projects for the Acute Communicable Disease Control (ACDC) program within the Department of Public Health.

· Partner with ACDC and IT to drive the design, development, and testing of various data integration engagements, including but not limited to:

o New adoption of a department-wide HL7 data integration platform with a focus on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard.

o New data collection and standardization needs that would leverage Alteryx and Nintex products.

· Provide assistance and work on deliverables utilizing best of breed software technologies, including:

o Web and integration projects involving one of mainstream programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript or C#.

o Implementation of T*SQL in one or more Relational Databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).

· Report to the Director of Application Development under Public Health Information Systems.

Desirable qualifications

· Experience with T*SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Stored Procedure Developmen.t

· Experience in data modeling and schema design.

· Hands on experience working with major Source Code Management (SCM) and DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.

· Experience with building and operating a modern REST APIs.

· Experience in working in message brokers, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and HL7 Integration Engine technologies.
