Power Platform Developer

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated Power Platform Developer to work with internal and external stakeholders to create and support business applications, dynamic reports, and workflows using PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and Dataverse. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skill set in application development, data management, automation, and analytics. This individual will join our Business Intelligence Systems and Analytics (BISA) practice in the DC Metro Area but with the flexibility to work from home. As a part of the rapidly expanding CGS BISA practice, the candidate will also help our clients develop, deploy, and modernize their data pipelines using Power Platform solutions.

As a Power Platform Developer, you will:

  • Develop PowerApps canvas and model-driven apps
  • Build Enterprise-level mobile solutions, utilizing best practices within the Power Platform Community
  • Use multiple connectors with PowerApps and Microsoft Flow
  • Build PowerApps portals, and leverage Power Automate to create new and improved business process flows.
  • Integrate internal Dynamics 365 CE system with other aspects of the Power Platform 
  • Re-write and re-engineer custom legacy applications to PowerApps solutions
  • Interpret and design database models, integrating existing dataflows within SQL Server, etc.
  • Establish and address security protocols within PowerApps
  • Integrate Power BI Reports and dashboards into PowerApps
  • Communicate proposed designs and progress on the work to customers, team leads, and team members
  • Support cross-functional project teams with app development
  • Develop PowerApps and Flow licensing plans and features included in different plans

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in information systems, computer science, information management, computer engineering, or similar field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in Power Platform development
  • Experience in developing applications using Power Platform, PowerApps, canvas, model driven app, Common Data Service CDS, SQL, Forms, SharePoint online, Dynamics 365 CRM, Azure, Web Services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong curiosity and ability to quickly improve efficiency and effectiveness in new tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and stay flexible in a dynamic work environment

Nice to have skills/qualifications 

  • Active Government Security clearance
  • Microsoft PowerApps Certification
  • UI design skill and hands-on experience in designing and developing entities in PowerApps.
  • Experience/Knowledge with pulling reports and creating database queries like SQL Project Management experience
  • Ability to design an effective technical architecture and develop it effectively and assist to incorporate all new technologies into IT systems and monitor all production environments.
  • Experience coordinating with all business and IT partners, analyzing all business requirements, and providing resolutions for business and IT associate issues.
  • Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which includes gathering and analyzing business requirements, functional/technical specifications, designing, developing, testing, deploying the applications and providing production support
