Your Role
The Business Configuration Automation team is accountable for creating automated solutions for Business Configuration development use. The Application Developer, Senior will report to the senior manager of the Business Configuration Automation Team. In this role, you will create software and tools to enable high-quality and timely configuration to support effective member enrollment and efficient claims processing.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Adopt and apply software engineering concepts and processes to software development
- Provide input to designs and technical specifications
- Develop user interfaces and application programs using the technical specifications and design documents provided
- Tests, debugs, and maintains code according to the technical specifications
- Provide knowledge transfer to less experienced staff
- Work across 2-4 technology platforms or stacks
- Work on 2-3 moderately complex projects simultaneously
- Review objectives and assignment details with senior-level staff to ensure a thorough understanding of them
- Work in Agile-based development methodology
- Create designs focused on requirements and user stories in collaboration with customers

Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 5 years of experience in computer-related support field
- Requires experience in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), PowerShell, version control, and agile project and issue tracking system.
- Requires experience in SQL development
- Requires Intermediate level User Interface Design, Application Programming Skills, and development methodologies (data structures, algorithms, and design patterns)
- Desired experience in SVN/Git and JIRA
- Desired experience in Software Debugging and integration techniques (API, Services, SOAP, REST)
