This is a remote role.
Candidates will be based anywhere in the US, but preferably in the Northeast region of the US, Santa Clara, CA, Horsham, PA, or Lowell, MA.As a Staff Engineer for our New Product Solutions, this role will be the link between our Passive Optical Network (PON) product development teams and potential customers.
This will be done by first understanding the new products, how they fit into a customer solution, and then assisting customers with lab evaluations and field trials leading to the qualification and deployment of these PON solutions.How Will You Make An Impact: Become proficient with our products and the underlying technology via online training, documentation, specific product training, and hands-on lab experience.
Design, implement and validate customer-specific solution architectures.
Assist with customer lab integrations and evaluations.
Assist customers as needed with field trials and initial new product deployments.
Document issues found as well as best practices and procedures developed throughout the product learning and early customer engagements.
Work with the Sales and Field Engineers and other support organizations to expand the product and solution expertise throughout the organization.Required Qualifications For Consideration: Bachelors Degree and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
IPv4 and IPv6 networking expertise Broad knowledge of data networks Linux expertise Proficient in lab environments wiring and verifying system solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
