We are seeking a mission-focused Network Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles County, CA supporting our DOD customers as part of Arcfield’s Mission Maintenance Future Requirements (MMFR) Program.

Arcfield’s MMFR provides support services and solutions within the SkyRange Program for ballistic and hypersonic test missions at DoD, NASA, and other agency ranges around the world including broad ocean areas. We deliver mission planning, logistics, network and systems engineering, telemetry, data and voice communications, and cybersecurity support. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a team responsible for deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and integrating range instrumentation systems to support our Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Army and Navy customers and meet mission objectives.

  • Develop deployed communications architectures to meet dynamic mission requirements across multiple ranges.
  • Responsible for the engineering design, installation maintenance and repair of deployable communications sites.
  • Routing of data with type 1 encryption between various rangesand sites
  • Configure and secure enterprise services, routers, switches, firewalls, and access control solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP along with QOS, VPNs, and Spanning Tree Protocol.
  • Interface with analog voice communications systems across multiple locations
  • Maintain and update system with patches to comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Information Assurance VulnerabilityManagement (IAVM) requirements.
  • Support systems administrators on other standalone systems to improve their network architecture.
  • Develop system documentation to include but not limited to standard operating procedures, network drawings, etc.
  • Regularly report status of projects to management and customers.

Qualifications

  • A BS in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field with 2+ years’ experience
  • A valid Security+ or DoD Directive 8570.01 IAT Level II certification; (required for the program)
  • A valid Cisco Certified Network Associate certification or higher; (may consider ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • 1+ years of general work experience designing, developing and implementing network architecture.
  • 1+ years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting routers and switches and associated network protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, Rapid PVST
  • 1+ years of experience in supporting network security hardware and solutions like Cisco ASA firewalls, IPSEC, Access Control List (ACL), Network Address Translation (NAT)
  • Experience with network analysis tools such as CiscoPro, What’s Up Gold, and Wireshark
  • Experience with Visio
  • An active Secret clearance, and ability to maintain the clearance, which requires a US citizenship
