MANAGER, ENTERPRISE ENGINEERING I WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Responsible for planning and directing City National Bank’s enterprise-wide engineering service and infrastructure in order to connect strategy and planning to IT engineering investment and implementation.
Successfully oversee and manage Network Services, Voice Services, Systems Integration and Desktop Technologies.
Support IT management in the development and fulfillment of an engineering strategy, based on the current and future overall strategic and business objectives of the organization.
Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and to evaluate overall effectiveness.The Manager Enterprise Engineering will be responsible for delivering strategies driven both from a top-down analysis starting with an articulated business strategy and a bottom-up technology capability analysis.
Provide project system resources for engineering and designing infrastructure roadmaps to support strategy implementation.
Formulate strategies and thought leadership on emerging technology opportunities in the Financial Services industry.
Manage the development of an IT engineering long-term strategy, based on the current and future overall strategic and business objectives of the organization.
Evaluate the existing configuration of hardware, systems and technologies, in the context of business operations to identify any gaps in capacity or capabilities.
Evaluate new technologies with a view to their integration into the organization.
In collaboration with other stakeholders, develop business and investment case for the purchase of innovative technologies.
Share knowledge and expertise with other functional areas of the IT function and with the client community in an advisory capacity.
Work closely with critical vendors to understand their capacities, products and services, costs, and applicability to the organization.
Oversee the development of appropriate technology standards, governance policies and practices, and their dissemination in the entire organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
* Provide leadership for several engineering teams in Network Services, Voice Services, Systems Integration and Desktop Technologies, and/or as assigned.
Set annual department goals and ensure they are met, conduct performance evaluations, make hiring and status change decisions, coach, mentor, provide guidance, and apply disciplinary protocol as needed.* Will be responsible for delivering strategies driven both from a top-down analysis starting with an articulated business strategy and a bottom-up technology capability analysis.* Support IT management in the development of an information technology strategy, based on the current and future overall strategic and business objectives of the organization.* Provide project system resources for engineering and designing infrastructure roadmaps to support strategy implementation.* Formulate strategies and thought leadership on emerging technology opportunities in the Financial Services industry.* Manage the development of an IT engineering long-term strategy, based on the current and future overall strategic and business objectives of the organization.* Evaluate the existing configuration of hardware, systems and technologies, in the context of business operations to identify any gaps in capacity or capabilities.* Evaluate new technologies with a view to their integration into the organization.* In collaboration with other stakeholders, develop business and investment case for the purchase of innovative technologies.* Share knowledge and expertise with other functional areas of the IT function and with the client community in an advisory capacity.* Work closely with critical vendors to understand their capacities, products and services, costs, and applicability to the organization.* Oversee the development of appropriate technology standards, governance policies and practices, and their dissemination in the entire organization.* Facilitate the creation of a team environment by providing strong mentoring skills and interdepartmental communications.* Recommend hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards and reviews.
Approves employee daily time records, work assignments, vacations, sick pay, etc.* Responsible and accountable for appropriate quality controls related to the financial products the bank provides, the services the bank delivers, the processes employed and the incentives with which colleagues are awarded.* All City National products, financial solutions and services are to be provided ethically and with integrity in a manner that is consistent with the client-first culture and values embodied in City National’s PRIDE statement.* Complete all CNB related training as required.
