We’re looking at a variety of solutions – from brute force to machine learning and you will help us in finding our way!

We’re also hard at work developing a proprietary data analytics platform that allows us to track user behavior across all of the merchants that we integrate with.

We use NodeJS and React, Docker, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform. We love Typescript, solid testing and team spirit.

About the Role:

This senior level lead engineer will work closely with the rest of the team to design and build systems for a variety of purposes, including enhanced checkout experiences for Honey users, integrated experiences with PayPal technologies and automated test frameworks that will be used by the entire organization.

As an Engineer lead at Honey, you will:

  • Help architect and build back end services using NodeJS, Docker and Kubernetes

  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for your production code

  • Brainstorm solutions with other engineers

  • Work closely with product partners to ensure delivery of quality solutions in a timely manner

  • Coach and mentor the other engineers on the team, advocating for best practices and improved agile processes

About You:

  • 5+ years professional experience as a software engineer

  • Some experience in a lead capacity

  • Strong communicator – you can explain technical things to non-technical people, in speech and in writing

  • Excited to learn, and to teach

  • Experience with at least one back end framework, ie Rails, Django, NestJS

  • Experience with data stores – SQL, noSQL, etc. Experience with Spanner is a plus

At Honey, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company. We seek to create a culture where everyone can belong because we believe that people do their best work when they can show up every day as their authentic selves. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives.
