Position Title Juniper Network Engineer (hybrid work schedule) Position Summary Work on configuring and upgrading or replacing network and related systems. Performs technical support duties and carries out responsibilities in the following areas (including, but not limited to) troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, new installations, swapping hardware and support of any network hardware to include wireless deployments. Key Responsibilities Competency in configuration, management and operation of network routing, switching and wireless equipment including vendors such as Juniper and Aruba with moderate oversight. Code upgrades to include switches, routers and other network devices as needed. Configure and execute deployment of production network equipment. Troubleshoot basic network errors. Clearly communicate, proactively interface, and effectively work with existing teammates and management. Immediately report any trouble to teammates and management. Qualifications A working knowledge on the function and operation of the Internet to include IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. Minimum of 5+ years of production network support experience to include configuration, code upgrades, troubleshooting failed upgrades, rollback scenarios, staged upgrades on multi homed equipment to avoid outages. Experience using Junos and Juniper gear in a 247 production environment. Must have a basic understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF. Must understand Layerrsquos 2-4, an understanding of 802.x and other forms of port security and VLAN security as well as VLAN creation and trunking. A good working knowledge of Juniper commands and configuration in a production environment as well as an understanding of multi-chassis or virtual chassis. Platforms should include EX, QFX, MX and SRX and virtualized equivalents. Ability to adapt to unexpected situations, quickly troubleshoot and resolve unanticipated issues during unexpected or unanticipated situations. Proven ability to compose clear reports, summaries, and other written communication.
