The Select Groups’ client is seeking an experienced Java Developer to bring on their team an opening in Los Angeles, California.
This This Java Developer is needed for O&M development on a crucial Gas distribution application as well as regulatory mandate or client based requirement project work.
ASA or F5 AFM firewalls.
JAVA DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS:
6+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on backend core Java development (will flex on experience for the right candidate) Experience with SQL Server and Rest API Exposure to multiple libraries/frameworks within Java including Spring Boot and Tomcat Familiarity/light experience with JavaScript Comfortable in a client facing role: Ability to gather requirements and translate those intro technical requirements, understanding of the entire SDLC process as well as the business implications Strong communication skills

JAVA DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Java Developer will join a Team of developers that provide O&M, enhancement and project-based development based on regulatory or client-based requirements Given the crucial nature of the Envoy application developers are regularly assigned defect fix or enhancement tasks to keep the application running efficiently and optimally.
Developers will also carry a work phone when on call for any after hours urgent requests Will occasionally interface with clients, both internally and externally, to gather requirements When requirements are gathered this developer will support the translation of business requirements to technical requirements External clients include major market customers and internal clients include the Energy Markets Team and requirements will include regulatory changes This development Team handles all development
– front, middle, backend
– so this developer will be focused on full stack development but a strong emphasis on backend development
